The turf wall backdrop depicts the moment Steve Spurrier sent one through the uprights in the famous 1966 clash with Auburn.
The turf wall just outside the elevator is the perfect location for a photo and to create a memory of your visit to Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille. Feel free to post it on your favorite social media platforms, and as you can see, lots of folks have.
On the floor, the lowercase Mosaic tile creates an exact replica of the tile floor in the Gators locker room back in the 1960’s. We’ve added Steve Spurrier’s number 11 for good measure!
At the side entrance of the restaurant, you’ll notice Coach Spurrier’s handprints in the cement. These hands once threw touchdowns for UF, affixed visors to his head and hoisted the National Championship trophy.
