When you are in the game as long as Coach Spurrier, and enjoy as much success as he has, you’re bound to collect some hardware. The left half of the back wall of the Bull Gator Room is dedicated to over 250 of his trophies. The right half are trophies and accolades on loan from generous players that have known the HBC over the years.

Hall of Fame Inductions

Coach Spurrier has been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame twice, once as a player in 1986 and as a coach in 2017. He’s also in the High School Hall of Fame. (If the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame comes calling, we have room in the case.)

First-Year Coach Award

The HBC knew how to turn a program around in a hurry. Just ask Duke, UF and South Carolina. The Steve Spurrier First-Year Coach Award is given annually to the college football HC who has achieved the most success in year one, and is presented here at the restaurant.

Who Beat the Dawgs Out

Coach Spurrier, that’s who. This game ball from the 1995 Florida vs Georgia rivalry is one that’s close to this heart. It’s the only time UF scored over 50 points against UGA. Or as the HBC likes to say, “Hanging half a hundred!”

    Hitting The Links

    Did you know Coach Spurrier is pretty handy with a 4-iron? And just about every club in his golf bag? He’s racked up 76 tournament wins over the years and played all of the top 100 courses in the world.

    EVEN A HOLE IN ONE

    Augusta Ace

    Sure, he’s won the Heisman, the national championship and has been inducted into the Hall of Fame, but perhaps Spurrier’s finest moment was recording a hole-in-one at Augusta National. It was during the Masters on a Wednesday - Par 3.
